Happy Earth Day

Good News for Carroll County Localvores!

Our greens are raised organically, with organically certified fertilizers, and they are free from chemical pesticides and herbicides. We are working on our compost piles to further enhance our soil. For composting, it has been a challenge to find manure from animals that are fed organic grains. We generate our own electricity with a grid-tied pv system.

This morning, Mike is in the high tunnel planting tomatoes and preparing a bed for cucumbers.

We're here all day today on this fine rainy day (thankfully!), so any time is good for greens pick-up.  Call your order in ahead  ~ leave a message on the answering machine with the time you're coming. We'll be in and out of the house all day. With the high tunnel, we can garden in the rain!

Thank you for supporting local agriculture,
Mike & Karen
